this has basically overtaken ddr in the importance department. im going to build a media server with ridiculous features. to name a few:
- blu-ray burner
- media server case with built in infrared receiver and LED display
- quad core processor
- hdtv tuner card
- 2.12 terabytes of hard drive space
- 4 gigs of memory
- my roomate is throwing in his badass sound card
also, the operating system im going to install is a distribution of linux designed for media centers and includes a program called MythTV, which is essentially tivo, so i can recieve the signal from my cable company, record it onto the hard drives while watching tv, per computer on the network. also, in the future, there is the possibility of using my ds or psp to control this thing. oh also, i can hook my tv up to it so i can directly control my tv from my server.
there are a few more secret goodies as well but we didnt speak about them as much. ill save them maybe for another time |

i dont know if this has to be about people on your friend list on LJ, but whatever, im going to write statements for 10 different important people in my life.
1) I really wish you weren't so high strung all the time. I also wish that you would respect me as an adult. Money can't buy my love anymore.
2) I'm glad were finally close and that i feel i can talk to you about the events going on in my life. something will always hold me back from telling you everything about me, though.
3) Words can only get you so far. Take action; stop sitting on the sidelines and letting people decide your life for you.
4) You always challenge me to think of things from a different point of view. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be who I am today. I love you and hope things work out for the best.
5-6) I really miss you, I wish we were closer to make more memories. Miss and love.
7) I always get the vibe that you're afraid I don't consider you a close friend, but trust me, you definitely are. You are the person who keeps me going in this lonely city.
8) I really wish you weren't ok with the fact that you hurt people. Deep down, I feel like you actually aren't ok with that, but I'm probably just letting hope cloud my judgment.
9) I'm really happy we put the past behind us. You are a good person, and I can see that now. When we hang out, it's always fun.

So, it's been quite some time since I've posted in here. Well, as a very quick summary to those who don't already know: I became single back in December (and again in April), and I became an uncle on May 1st.
My sister gave birth to a little baby boy named Luke. He is a cute little guy. It's amazing waiting outside the room my sister gave birth, then all of a sudden hear little baby shrieks coming from the other side of the door. His birth was a miracle... and that's an understatement. His umbilical cord was wrapped twice around him; once around his neck and once around his stomach. Every time my sister moved, his heart rate would drop by half.
In other news, I had two nightmares today. One was from when I woke up this morning, and the other was later on in the day during a nap. Basically, both had a theme where people won't always be there for me and that I need to find happiness within myself and to quit relying on others for happiness. That has been a big theme in my life for the past two or three weeks, so it's no surprise that I dreamed about it. I guess the worst feeling about it all is that after I woke up, it still feels like I'm stuck in those dreams. Those nightmares still have me extremely shook up.

this was easily the best way to start off the new year
i got to spend time with jackie! there were times that we really connected, and other times where we got shit off our chests. however, it was an overall awesome and fun time.

i had a dream all my belongings were stolen and nobody cared.
having dreams like that wouldnt normally be a problem because theres part of me that realizes its just a dream in my dream. but it felt so real... i felt so violated and betrayed. not even my family or best friends cared about my losses.
when i woke up i almost wanted to cry tears of happiness... it was that real
